Dr. W. Patrick Parks dreamed of being an eye specialist since his teenage years. His undergraduate studies began with biology and pre-medical science at the University of Georgia from 1991 to 1995. He went on to earn a Bachelor's in Vision Science in 1997 and received his Doctorate of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in 1999.

Dr. Parks was Recognized for his high academic achievements by being elected to the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and his practice acumen was acknowledged by Marchon’s Practice Management Award.

During his years as an aspiring student, Dr. Parks also worked as an ophthalmic lab technician and optician. This included complete ophthalmic lens fabrication, production equipment maintenance, and optical dispensing. Upon graduating, he received recognition for his ophthalmic work with an Excellence in Ophthalmic Dispensing Award from Essilor, a world-leading lens manufacturer. His multifaceted experience gives him an insightful perspective when addressing patients’ unique visual needs with conventional eyewear.

Dr. Parks enjoys listening to his patients so he can provide the best solutions for their vision. He takes the time to review each concern and believes that being completely informed is an integral part of patient care. He strives to provide an eye care experience beyond compare.

Dr. Parks and his wife, Renira, live in Lawrenceville. They have four children and one grandchild. Together, they enjoy cruising the back roads in their vintage Volkswagens!
